Sitter Sessions – celebrate a special milestone

Sitter Sessions, otherwise known as a milestone photoshoot, is a celebration of your little one learning to sit up. It won’t be long before they are running around so don’t miss out on capturing this special stage.

If you have missed out on the newborn stage but your baby is not sitting yet it’s not a problem, I can do these sessions for babies. From 3 months old, your baby does not have to be sitting. I can capture some lovely shots on a beanbag and in props.

Baby sitter session photography is a milestone session in a baby’s first year. The session takes place when your baby can sit steadily, preferably not crawling (but not essential), but doesn’t yet walk.

Every baby develops differently, so a sitter session is usually scheduled when a baby is around 6 to 9 months old. Babies are very interactive at this age and are full of genuine expressions. They smile easily, they giggle and make the most adorable faces.

Capture the special moment when your baby is able to sit up and share a genuine smile that melts your heart with a sitter session photoshoot.

Booking information

For these sessions I allow up to 60-90 mins, which allows plenty of time to change outfits and set ups. Specialist sitter session outfits and use of all props are provided within your session price. I love to include Mum, Dad and siblings in these photography sessions too (only if you want to).

Following on from your session all images are hand-edited before I invite you back to view a slide show of all of the images. I would be more than happy to chat to you about these sessions. As studio sessions are limited and I do book up quickly it is essential to book and confirm your session well in advance.

Pricing

Due to the fact that my dates do get booked up quite far in advance , I require a £99  booking fee to secure your date and booking. This will be deducted from your final order.

You do not need to choose what collection to go for until after you have viewed your images 2 – 3 weeks after the shoot date. You will be invited back to view all your images . You can choose to purchase prints or products instead of a collection or opt for a collection plus wall art, album or other products. I do have a minimum spend of £249.00 for a sitter session so on the day of the shoot itself £150.00 is payable . After viewing the images you can opt to stick with the £249.00 collection, order other products or choose a higher collection.

FAQs

How long does the session last?
Typically with babies this age the session lasts between 1 to 1.5 hours. After this time the baby has normally had enough and is getting tired and has used all the baby smiles up.
When will my images be ready?
At certain times of the year I am busier than others the typical time for the gallery to be ready to view is 3-4 weeks. I do aim to be quicker if I can
What is the Viewing/Ordering session?
After your images have been edited you will be invited back into the studio to view your gallery. It is at this point that you will choose your bespoke package. All packages can be completely bespoke and you will get to purchase the products that you love, from wall art to albums to prints etc, there is so much to choose from which I will show you at this session
I Live a long way away. I don’t want to come back for a viewing session?
During Covid and for clients that live a long way away I have been offering zoom viewing sessions. These however are at a last resort as you can’t get to see your images as they should be viewed and you can’t appreciate the products in the same way.
Can siblings be included in the babies and sitter shoot?
Yes I like siblings to be included. It does depend on the age and how many siblings there are as to how feasible it is but this will be discussed in your booking.
How many set ups can I have?
It depends on the baby on the day and how many times they can tolerate getting changed. I normally suggest choosing 5 different set-ups and let me know your order of preference and I will work through them in order until the baby has had enough.
What outfits do I need to bring?
You don’t need to bring any. I have so many lovely outfits for babies of this age. You are of course welcome to bring any of your own outfits if you wish.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes of course. I would not want you to miss out on this most important stage of a baby’s life due to financial reasons. For more information on payment plans feel free to contact me via the contact page .
Can spectators watch?
As my studio is not very big I normally suggest only the parents and one other are permitted . Due to Covid at the moment it is only parents allowed and no spectators.
What Covid precautions do you have in place?
I follow all government guidelines on social distancing. Hand sanitisers are provided on entry to the studio. Face Masks must be worn while not being photographed. Shoes removed on entry to the studio. No spectators allowed. I am also asking adults to take a lateral flow test the morning of the shoot.

Happy customer
Claire Hurcum
Can’t recommend Tracy enough! She has such a huge range of props to choose from and she was fantastic with our daughter when getting her into each pose and very patient when she was wriggling around. We’ve been to view the results today and it was impossible to choose a selection so we couldn’t resist purchasing the full package. The photos are so precious, we can’t wait to showcase them around the house! Thanks Tracy we can’t wait for the next one.
